After visiting O.W.L., we decided we would like to help support the important work they do of rescuing and caring for injured raptors. In 2016, O.W.L. cared for 646 injured raptors! The kiddos eagerly took on this service project, offering to do chores at home or collecting bottles and cans to earn a dollar or two. Our goal is to raise $30 as a class so we can sponsor an owl in care. Serenity, the Snowy owl, was chosen as the owl we would sponsor. Students have worked in pairs to create posters to display around the school, to help educate others on what we can all do to help owls in BC.
